Speaking of biking, UNO is about 6 miles from where I live, and riding there in temperatures that "feel like" 102F isn't my favorite thing. Special thanks to Toni whom I had to call when I got lost and needed someone to google directions for me. "How," you may ask, "did this girl manage to get lost? It's literally a straight shot from her house to the school." Well, never you mind.
So I got here on Friday, if you didn't know, almost a week after I'd planned. Half an hour into my original trip down on Saturday my car broke down; as awful as I felt about that, I do realize how lucky I am that it happened so close to home and that my dad is a great mechanic. So I spent a few days there until I got a rental to drive down and got to remember how much I love the country and I think would be perfectly happy living out in the middle of nowhere; it's either the country or the city for me though, none of that in between town stuff.
Anyway, the only pictures I took on my journey down to New Orleans were from the yard where I grew up. So here they are--not art, just some sights that I miss.
So that's the gist.
Hope everyone back home is doing well...
